Control the Brown Trout fishing on the lower part of the river, downstream to Motherwell where the river joins the Clyde.

Avon Angling Club also has the lease from the Crown Estate for the Salmon fishing for the whole of the
River Avon.
Main Species in the river are the Wild Brown Trout but the club also keeps stocks up by rearing their own Trout in their hatchery, Grayling can also be found along with some runs of Sea Trout & Salmon.
