Hello everyone …

The Grayling season so far has been hit & miss due to the weather the last few weeks, high water & strong winds.

Some hardy anglers are still braving the conditions and are being rewarded with some nice ‘ladies’

Have a look on the forum for full details on the catches for the Grayling season so-far.

Tight lines & all the best for 2012

Our great river has some excellent fishing to be had for all types of anglers, be it Game fishing or a bit of coarse angling the River Clyde has it all.

The river now has some good runs of Salmon & Sea Trout along with excellent Brown Trout fishing.

The lower part of the river has a great head of coarse species from Roach to Dace & some great Barbel if you can find them.

In the Winter months, you can put your Salmon rod away for the season & take on the ‘Lady of the stream’ - The Grayling, this fish  can be found from the upper reaches of the river right down to Glasgow.

There are 4 clubs / associations that control the water on the river, Mid-Clyde Angling Association, UCAPA Ltd, Hozier Angling Club & Lamington.

The main tributaries on our river are the River Avon, Nethan, Douglas, Duneaton & the Mouse Water
